IESDB - Idaho Educational Services for the Deaf & Blind
Consultant services are available to all students with hearing loss receiving services through a 504 or IEP. In addition to services provided by the BSD Educational Audiologist, IESDB can provide in-service to school staff, classroom observation, and participation during educational team meetings. The Boise School District is served by two IESDB consultants, as listed below. IESDB Outreach Consultants have a master's degree in Deaf Education and can speak to the instructional strategies that may be most successful for our students with hearing needs. See additional information about IESDB.
Delivery Statement for IEPs or 504s:
Consultation services for hearing needs will be provided to the school by the IESDB Regional Consultant for the D/HH at least four times each year. These services may include, but are not limited to: observations, meetings/communications with teachers, review of audiological and/or educational records, and in-service of school staff.
Memorandum of Understanding:
IESDB is the only entity in Idaho where a specific Release of Information is not required in order to access services; it is established through a state-level Memorandum of Understanding.
